Bowthorpe Thoroughbred Stud 

JAYEMZED iis a lightly raced six year old stallion whose record stands at five wins from only sixteen starts with black type achieved in his career ending race at Caulfield when he was injured but still placed second in the Anniversary Vase (L).

He has a magnificent physique standing at 16.2 hh and a gentle disposition as shown by his resilience during recovery from injury. His balanced pedigree will allow breeders access to a grandson of Mr Prospector from granddaughter of Northern Dancer with a strong and consistent winning damline.

His sire Lion Cavern (Full brother to international sire, and sire of sires, Gone West) has produced the current Australian champion sprinter Apache Cat and international 3YO Crimplene the champion 3YO filly of the year in the UK.

His dam, Te Akau, is still remembered in New Zealand as a brilliant speedster who has retired unraced but has a 100% winning strike rate for six progeny to race, with two of her sons having black type and many close up family members recorded as multiple winners. She is the half sister to multiple group winner Steel Phoenix, and the family record continues to build with close relation Think Money placing in the Group 1 AJC Oaks in 2009.
